The Stihl TS 800 is built to improve emissions and fuel efficiency.
With a stratified charge on a 2-stroke engine in the combustion chamber, a layer of clean air is formed between the burned charge and the new charge in the crankcase, which reduces fuel lost during the charging process.
Thus, 2-stroke engines using this technology can achieve higher power with less weight, reduce fuel consumption by up to 20%, and substantially reduce exhaust emissions.
It is built with a Fuel pump with a manual purger.
With the touch of a button, a small fuel pump delivers fuel to the carburettor. Following extended breaks in operations, reduces the Stihl TS 800 need for starting strokes.
The Stihl ElastoStart technology reduces the shock that is caused by the engine compression when it starts. In the starter handle, a spring or rubber element removes the compression shock from the user’s joints and muscles.

Filtering the air before separation
Filter life is longer with the Stihl TS 800 long-life air filtration systems because they use pre-separation instead of conventional filtering. Upon drawing in the air, it swirls. Particles with a larger mass are ejected. Through the pre-separator duct, pre-cleaned air is routed to the air filter.
Hands and arms can become damaged by intense vibrations of power tools. Due to this, Stihl developed an anti-vibration system to reduce vibration at the machine’s handles by dampening the oscillations coming from the engine.
