Clear & Bright LCD Display
The STIHL iMOW® robotic mower has its control panel integrated into the housing. The control panel features a large, high contrast & clear LCD display, which can also be removed for operating convenience on the RMI 6 series models and provides an intuitive way of recording all settings, as well as a way of viewing all the functions available along with giving you performance data of the automatic lawn mower.
The display is bright and its high contrast makes it easy to read even in sunlight.. This provides a very intuitive way of recording all settings, and also a convenient way of checking all the functions and performance data of the automatic lawn mower. The control panel is designed with a high-contrast display and coupled with its large LCD panel makes it easy to read even in sunlight.
All-Round Safety Protection
The STIHL RMI 632 C iMOW® robotic mower is equipped with a number of sensors, so if someone attempts to pick it up while it’s mowing, it will instantly stop to avoid any accidents.
In addition to this, the automatic lawn mower can be protected with a PIN code so that it can only be operated by entering this PIN which further protects from any unauthorised use.
On all C models, the iMOW® robotic mower can also be located using the free iMOW® app via smartphone or tablet using GPS.
Protective Movable Hood
The iMOW® robotic mower has a movable hood with inbuilt sensors to protect it from the weather and any potential obstacles. If the iMOW® robotic mower comes up against an obstacle during its mowing operations, integrated sensors will detect contact with the object and send the mower off in a different direction.
Standard Equipment
As standard, the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower includes the machine itself along with the intelligent docking station, with four pegs for securing to the ground as well as an iMOW® ruler as an aid for laying the perimeter wire. Be advised that an installation kit is also required to install the iMOW® robotic mower.
Smart Docking Station
The smart docking station acts as both the robotic mower’s home and also where it docks to recharge the battery. At the same time, it is the starting point for every mowing schedule.
When in operation, the automatic lawn mower is guided by a signal transmitted by the perimeter wire installed at the edge of your lawn. This signal is beamed via the docking station itself.
If during any mowing outings it begins to rain or if the battery runs down, the iMOW® robotic mower independently returns to the docking station to recharge its battery.
Thanks to its intelligent charging system, the iMOW® then decides whether a speed charge is necessary due to another imminent mowing operation or whether the battery should be gently charged in normal mode ready for a later mowing run. The docking station can be positioned within or outside the lawn area.
Mulching Deck
The iMOW® deck is built with a sturdy mulching blade fitted, ensuring a precise cutting pattern. This is the case even on grass with higher growth. The blades rotational direction will change every time it stops to help ensure that the blade of the automatic lawn mower wears evenly. Another bonus feature with the blade design is it can be changed without the need for tools.
Offset drive home
The iMOW® robotic mower will return back home to its smart docking station along the perimeter wire by default. Alternatively and if necessary, it can also travel back to the docking station with an alternating offset to the perimeter wire but this is dependant on the condition of the edges of the mowing area,
Removable control panel
The panel is flush-mounted into the housing of the automatic lawn mower and for convenient access, can also be removed. The control panel with its integrated, clear bright display is used on all STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers and aids for easy setup, manual control and quick viewing of the machine information. With its high-contrast display, it means the control panel can also be used in sunlight.
App Control
The dedicated free Stihl iMOW® app has an intuitive menu that can be accessed via a smartphone or tablet, which means many mowing settings can be made while on the move, as well as directly on the machine itself.
The interactive mowing plan will allow you to define any time window for each day during which the iMOW® robotic mower will work and charge its battery independently for full flexibility. Thanks to the integrated rain sensor and its ability to gather information from online weather forecasts, the automatic lawn mower will only mow in suitable weather conditions.
The iMOW® app will transform your STIHL iMOW® robotic mower into a standalone smart garden system and offer a real-time overview of all the main functions and operational data.
Using its GPS localisation, the current location can also be viewed and the desired zone can be defined as the preferred mowing location at a specific time.
iMOW® Robotic Mower Drive
The RMI 6 series models will handle lawns with a gradient of up to 45% with ease and features a drive system that enables them to mow on hilly terrain with consistently high quality
Adaptive slope speed
Using the adaptive slope speed function which is part of the STIHL iMOWs control system, the robotic mower can adapt its speed on uneven terrain. An integrated tilt sensor will constantly analyse the mowers and adapt its speed accordingly.
Dynamic Mowing Plan
Using the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower interactive mowing plan, individual time windows during which the machine can be in operation can be predefined for each day. Within the active times, the Stihl RMI 632C robotic lawn mower automatically determines the most suitable times to mow for an optimum result.
If it has to cut short any mowing schedules because of rain, it automatically catches up later within the specified time windows set. This dynamic mowing plan can be called up and amended via the control panel at any time.
Traction Patterned Wheels
The smooth-running wheels with traction pattern ensure that the STIHL iMOW® robotic mower moves with precision. Especially on hilly lawns with a gradient of up to 45% and dense grass. The robotic mowers wheels are self-cleaning.
FAQ’s For STIHL IMOW
How do I adjust the cutting height?
You can adjust the cutting height using the rotary knob on top of the iMOW® robotic mower. Select the desired cutting height with reference to the marking on the rotary knob.
- The minimum cutting height (setting 1) is 20 mm
- The maximum cutting height (setting 8) is 60 mm
What happens to the cuttings?
The iMOW® robotic mower is a mulching mower. During mulching, the grass clippings are further shredded in the mowing deck housing after cutting. They then fall back into the turf, where they remain and decompose. The finely shredded clippings return organic nutrients to the lawn, serving as a natural fertiliser. Fertiliser requirements are thereby reduced significantly.
Where are the ‘no go’ areas?
No-go areas are areas where the iMOW® robotic mower should not venture. No-go areas can include
- Ponds
- Swimming pools
- Flowerbeds
- Vegetable patches
These areas must be cordoned off by routing the perimeter wire accordingly
Can the RMI 632C Robotic Lawnmower mow lawn edges cleanly?
Soft edges (ground level patios, paths, etc.) are positioned inside the perimeter wire in such a way that the mower produces perfectly clean results. Around hard edges such as walls, raised patios, etc., the iMOW® robotic mower is installed in such a way that it travels as close to the edge as possible, but always safely.
How does the rain sensor work?
The rain sensor can be set so that mowing is interrupted or does not start when it is raining. The current value is displayed in a line diagram in the menu under “SMART” > “Weather” > “Rain sensor”. In order to set the 5-stage sensor, slide the control to the left or right. The rain sensor can also be set under “Settings” > “Rain sensor”. The sensitivity of the rain sensor and the time the robotic mower waits for the sensor surface to dry following rain varies, depending on the setting.
What happens when the battery on the IMOW is completely discharged?
The iMOW® robotic mower enters the docking station automatically at the end of the mowing operation or when the battery is low on energy. The number and duration of the mowing and charging operations within the active times are adapted fully automatically
